A+ for originality amid simplicity.

VIDEO PREMIERE: M.I & Naeto C – Bartender (Hennessy Artistry 2012 Theme Song)

The video you’ve been waiting for is here!
M.I and Naeto C continue their historic Hennessy Artistry outing with an incredible video directed by music video maestro Clarence Peters. The video is exciting and unpredictable, with the kind of elevated style that Hennessy is known for. “Bartender” is the anthem of the summer and nothing short of this would have been appropriate.
“It’s the perfect video for a song that’s already receiving critical and commercial acclaim across Nigeria, and I’m certain fans of Hennessy, Clarence Peters, M.I and Naeto C will love this”, says Hennessy Marketing Manager Tokini Peterside.
Clarence Peters, the ace video director who has worked closely with all of Nigeria’s best musicians, says, “It’s a collage of different set pieces, with emphasis on Hennessy culture, styling and values. Hennessy is a very premium brand, and the headliners – M.I and Naeto C – are also top notch. So we’ve created something that complements the brand and personalities while making sure it’s fun and spontaneous. In the video, everyone just blends and flows, and I’m sure the fans will like the result!”.

PREMIERE: Sinzu ft. 2face, M.I & Lynxxx -- E Don Dey Madt (REMIX)

LOL! I know the snippet Sinzu released earlier this week gave no hints whatsoever how this E Don Dey Madt Remix would sound like.
Well, the wait is over; here is the E Don Dey Madt remix featuring industry Heavy Weights 2face Idibia, M.I & Lynxxx. You can tell that they all had fun with their individual verses and kept it withing the context of the song.
Lovely and humorous tune!
Remember to look out for Loko video from Sinzu ft Timaya which he just wrapped up and should be out in a month or two.
Sinzu is Sinzu…

ProVerb feat Tebogo Moloto - Writers' Club

Here’s something from our brothers on the South-side of the continent. ProVerb is one of the best rappers in Africa… period! I’ve been a fan of this dude for a few years, and we’ve even put up a couple of his collaborations with Naija rappers, Modenine (ProMode) and Naeto C (Higher). Last month, he dropped the video for his single “Writer’s Club” but I stalled on it for a few reasons beyond my control. Well, here it is.

Verb sets the standards when it comes to lyrical composition, delivery and even video quality. This is art! Naija/African rappers, take a cue.

“Here’s the music video for my single “Writers’ Club” featuring Tebogo Moloto.

Thank you so much to the following writers who I respect so much for agreeing to cameo in the video: Lebo Mashile, Kojo Baffoe, Napo Masheane, Angus Gibson, Jerry Mofokeng, Libby Doughtry and my boy Amu. The ultimate “Writer’s Club”.

Thanks also to my extended family at Volvo South Africa for coming on board and to my manager Jobie and his producing partner Makere for producing it. The video is directed by the talented Tebogo Malope. Suzan Kibirige held it down as Production Coordinator. David Pienaar was Director of Photography. The offline edit was by Riaan Stoman. The online edit and effects were by Garth Von Gleghn. Key Set PA: Benny, Make Up: Ziona Nagdee.

Welcome to the Writers’ Club.”    - Proverb.

OFFICIAL VIDEO - E.M.E feat. WizKid, Banky W. & Skales - Get Down Tonight

The EME boys are back with the visuals for Get Down Tonight featuring Wizkid, Banky W. & Skales.
The highly anticipated video for “Get Down Tonight”; another scorching single off the Empire Mates State of Mind Album. The song was produced by Sarz, the video was directed by Mr Moe Musa, and shot in London, England.

Kelly Hansome -- Owonbe

Kelly Hansome is just full of talent and I wish his label situation was different so that he can promote and release music that he is actually able to sell.
This is another lovely track from Kelly that you will place on auto-repeat after your initial listen.

Stringz ft. Olamide -- Konji

Hahahaha… This song cracks me up more than anything.
Don’t get me wrong it is a good song, but the content is funny, especially the manner in which the crooner on the hook sings the ‘See Kooonji… Kooonji‘ part.
Olamide then topped it up with ‘ile Daddy Wa Mo le fi se ritual’ (Will put up our Daddy’s house for ritual)

Waje -- I Wish

Waje returns with a lovely Reggae track. The voice and skillz are undeniable. She is one artist whose full length LP I look forward to hearing.

Flavour - Kwarikwa [Remix] ft. Fally Ipupa (Official Video)

Mr N’abania employs the services of Congolese superstar, Fally Ipupa, on the remix to “Kwarikwa” off his “Uplifted” album. Gotta love the vibe Flavour brings to the table everytime. A proper African musician.
Directed by Godfather.
Produced by Masterkraft.
